Watch  for  the  green  Comet  LULIN

                  COMET WATCH

The comet has now moved to be just south of Saturn  -  in fact both Saturn and Comet Lulin are visible in the same field of view using a pair of 7 X 35mm binoculars. (11:00 PM, Feb 23rd 2009)

   With the wind from the Southwest and gusts up to 91 Km/h, we had quite a sea on today.

    The spray from bursts like this one pass over the top of our house and can make quite a sound when it hits the windows.

   The high tide was at 7:05 AM (1.77 meters).  We sometimes have high tides above 2 meters and with a storm surge they can be another meter or so higher.

  Southwest winds are not as bad a Southeast winds at this location.  Southwest winds come from across the Bay, but there's a fair bit of land between us and the open ocean.  Southeast winds come from the open ocean and the waves are quite a bit higher.
