Sun Dogs, usually seen to the right and left of the sun when the sun is low in the sky. Small ice crystals cause light to refract and produce a spectrum much like a prism. Tonight the display was not all that distinct. Sometimes a halo or arc is displayed that surrounds the sun with spectra just above the horizon each side of the Sun.
A Sun pillar caused by the sun's reflection from the flat surfaces of hexagonal plate ice crystals. Each crystal acting like a tiny mirror.
Mouton Head is floating again. There's something coming in the way of precipitation within the next 24 hours.
